MITTBI is self-sustainable entity for the socio –economic growth of the society. This incubation process encourages young innovators to mass produce their certain creation and establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs.
Objectives / Concept
- To establish the efficient TBI Center in Pune by setting up common facilities to be covered by Electronic Manufacturing start-up companies and to facilitate the youngsters for setting up their business ideas and innovation into the successful business.
- The facility is located in Pune, Maharashtra. This center has state- of- the art facilities for new entrepreneurs to start their business in Electronics Area. The Project assists the incubators in Pune and outside to access better technology and develop the business from innovation to pilot production of the product.
- To offer students and faculties facilities and resources for promoting the basic elements of innovation and transitioning new ideas into products, processes and services and to provide businesses and industry with a pipeline of new products, processes and talented graduates to hire and to promote interactions and collaborations between students and faculty with industry professional and entrepreneurial business people.
- To provide resources and environment for prototyping and incubating products and partnership programs, centers of excellence between faculty, government, and industry in various product, service, and next generation systems.
Background/Why TBI?
- Maharashtra has emerged as a key center for IT and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITeS), Electronic and Capacitive business outsourcing industries. The strong presence of auto sector in Pune region has made the city a hub for Electronic Industry.
- The electronic product comprises of consumer electronics, computer peripherals, and Automation and consumer electronic sectors from client segment.
TBI Structure/What we are doing?
- The MIT institution/ organization have implemented the project and manage the TBI. The TBI center provides the various techno-managerial services to all incubate within and outside Pune. The TBI functions as a service provider to assist incubi ties in innovating and developing new products, producing value added products, enhance productivity and meet international product requirements.
- The TBI offers support to the incubi by providing most commonly required facilities like:
- Design center.
- SMT line lab.
- Testing and Measurement lab.
- Rapid prototyping and tool room
MIT Initiative
MIT have already taken proactive steps towards establishing successful TBI. All those initiatives are as follows:
- Board resolution has been passed by MIT to initiate TBI.
- A separate account under trust is established.
- Initial space of 800 sqft has been allotted for functioning TBI.
- Four startup companies have been established since last one year and they are running successfully under TBI.

MIT Master of Business Administration, is an integral part of MIT, Pune. It was established in 2007 to impart value based education in the field of management science with the aim of creating global leaders and entrepreneurs for the nation.
MIT - MBA Department conducts two years full time post graduate courses affiliated to University of Pune bearing the no is CAl 3211 Dated 31/07/07 which is recognized by A.I.CTE New Delhi as the no bearing F-No. 740-89-234(E) IRC 194 Dated 14/5/07 & Govt. of Maharashtra having a 60 students Intake capacity.
This is a two-year (Four Semester) full time University of Pune affiliated programme with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Material & Operations and Systems.
MIT MBA Department, Pune, under the Master of Business Administration programme, successfully prepared students for the demanding organizational roles of a diverse and rapidly changing world. The programme offers a broad-based interactive curriculum and through training in business processes that will equip them for decision making responsibilities in business, governmental and non-profit organizations. The faculty at MIT MBA employs a mix of lecture, discussion, cases, technology mediated learning, field projects, simulations and 6 + other learning strategies to ensure that graduates master not only the basic tools and theories of business, but can apply business know-how to real life professional experiences. MIT – COE was established in the year 2000 as the Women’s Engineering College (WEC) by Prof. Mangesh T. Karad . In 2003 it was converted as a co-education college and was renamedas MIT College of Engineering , that is, MIT – COE.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in 1983 In various streams like Mechanical , Mechanical and sandwich , Electronics and telecommunication , Computer Science and Engineering , Civil, Along with unique Polymer , Petrochemical Applied Science and Humanities engineering branches at Maharashtra Institute of technology. Very first institution in MIT Group Of Institutions one of its kind are introduced at our Kothrud campus . Later on Polytechnic programs are offered to the 10th and 12th passed students. Today we are running them in two shifts i.e. First shift and second shift in civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics and Tele- communications, and computer engineering. In the history of MAEER's trust second engineering college was introduced at pilgrimage Alandi in the year 1998 at our Alandi campus. The most demanding, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Science, Electronics and telecommunication, Branches are introduced with the name at Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Alandi. This Maharashtra Academy of Alandi is known for its unique ROBOCON event all over the world in association with D.D. Sahyadri. With the rapid demand of engineering education 3rd MIT College of Engineering is introduced at kothrud campus. Also at our one of the premium campus at Raj Baugh, Loni Kalbhor Marine Engineering is introduced with the name Maharashtra Academy of Navel Engineering & Training.
Objective is to provide outstanding engineering education inspire the students not only in the education but nurture them for value based education system. The mission of the Faculty is to graduate morally conscious and highly competent engineers, conduct internationally recognized research, and provide quality professional and community services. The Faculty of Engineering is having more than 5000 students and over 600 academic, administrative and technical staff. The Faculty of Engineering also offers postgraduate programs –– with specialization in most of the premium branches like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication and that too many other branches with subject specialization. Research programs leading to PhD are also offered by all the departments. All courses of the Faculty are duly approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, and UGC approval and that got NBA accreditations. All our engineering programs are affiliated to Sawitribai Phule Pune University the medium of instruction is English for all the courses.

A centralized computer laboratory with more than 100 terminals is available to students in addition to similar laboratories available in each department.
